Whether hoping to close that 1st sale in the field or anxiously anticipating a blind date it’s only human to hope for the best amidst the feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your stomach. However, while luck and timing play its part it’s still a strong adaptable structure that gives you the best chance of successfully navigating both opportunities.

Before you even lock eyes with your new potential ‘customer’ you need to be prepared and turn as many ‘unknown’ items in to ‘known’ quantities as possible.

One in five people spend as much as three hours on social media every day, it has been claimed. There is a gender split on the issue too, with almost a quarter of women spending between one and three hours on social media, compared to just one in five men.

Retail sales bounce back after Brexit vote slump

Retail sales have rebounded from their June slump, providing some assurance that Brexit is not deterring shoppers from splashing out. According to the Office for National Statistics, sales grew by 1.4 per cent in July, much better than expectations for a 0.1 per cent rise.

Visa Europe: Irish Consumer Spending Grows *again*

Visa’s Irish Consumer Spending Index for July points to further growth in spending for the month of July. All payment types (cash, cheque and e-payments) are up by 6.4% year-on-year, which is an increase on the rate of growth in June (6.0%).
